About Me
I grew up in Okemos, Michigan with my parents and two older brothers. Growing up I actively participated in a variety of sports and ultimately focused on women's lacrosse. After graduating from Okemos High School, I attended Grand Valley State University where I studied elementary education and played on the women's varsity lacrosse team. Go Lakers! After recognizing the importance of education and striving to being the best teacher I could, I transferred into the Michigan State Education program where I completed my undergraduate degree. Go Green! After graduating MSU I proceeded to find my dream job in a neighboring town, Williamston, Michigan. I am currently a second grade teacher at Discovery Elementary. I love working in this small town and building relationships with my students and their families.
When I am not teaching children, I enjoy spending time with my family and boyfriend. I have two great sister-in-laws as well as a nephew and niece. We love going for runs and walks with our family dogs, traveling to go hiking and skiing, golfing and heading up north to our cottage on Lake Michigan in the summer!
